Get Fit Fast with Boxing

One of the fastest ways to lose weight and tone up is boxing. After playing division-I basketball at Duquesne University, I was looking for new ways to stay in shape so I started boxing.  Training to fight got me in the best shape of my life!  You too can benefit from this training -  boxing ranks among the top exercise to burn calories, build strength, endurance and develop muscle tone. Anyone can box, it isn't necessary to have gloves and a heavy bag or a boxing instructor; you just need to learn the basics. My most recent publication on EbonyOnline: "Get Fit Fast with Boxingwill give you some tips on how to burn calories and shed fat fast boxing. Yoga In A Bottle

As I continue to juice daily, my skin is glowing and I feel great.  I'm constantly looking for and trying new juice combos.  Currently, I'm really into the Tumeric drink from Whole Foods.  The ingredients include: turmeric, ginger, cardamom, spearmint, agave, lemon, sea salt, cayenne, and cinnamon. Tumeric has several health benefits, it is widely known for its anti-inflammatory effects.   Take a look at this LIVESTRONG article for a more in depth understanding of Tumeric and its health benefits. Whole Foods  refers  to their Tumeric concoction as the "Anti-oxidant cleansing formula" and they call it "Yoga in a Bottle"; an innovative sports recovery drink. Stop by your local Whole Foods and try the Tumeric drink, or try making it yourself!

Tips On Toning

Don't rely on just cardio or just weights! If you want to develop good muscle tone, you have to do both resistance and cardio training.  Movements that engage multiple muscle groups at once are very effective.  The Squat Curl-Press is one great exercise that will tone the legs, shoulders, core and biceps all in one move.   I'm also a big fan of body weight exercises such as; pushups, pull ups and dips.  Take a look at my Exercise Library for some strength training/toning ideas.   For tone without mass; light but challenging weights and higher repetitions are best. If you want to bulk up and tone, use heavier weights and fewer reps.   Cardio training is also necessary because it burns calories, sheds excess fat and helps develop muscle.  Check out this link for some great cardio moves that will help you tone while you get your heart rate up. Don't forget, eating a healthy diet plays a large role in achieving your fitness goals.
