This thanksgiving enjoy time with your family and friends. Don't let the holidays get you off track, make an effort to avoid junk food and try not to overeat! Remember the ultimate purpose of food and drink; eat to live rather than live to eat! Don't eat too much and stay away from the foods and drinks that are unhealthy for you. While most Americans tend to gain a few pounds over the holiday season, I challenge you to lose a few! Here are a few helpful hints for Thanksgiving day: Maintain your usual eating schedule, don't skip meals - although in anticipation of a celebratory feast at dinner, eat a bit less at breakfast and lunch. Don't skip your workout. Eat only one desert. Don't go for seconds. Make sure your plate is full of color, I mean green not red! Watch your alcohol intake. Give thanks, eat well and be well!
