6 Tips for a Healthy Holiday Season


The holiday season is approaching, which means parties and holiday events, which also means lots of drinking and eating!  There is nothing wrong with a glass of wine every now and then as long as you don't go overboard. Here are a few tips for drinking and eating healthy this holiday season.

1. Balance!  If you have a glass of wine make sure you also have a glass of water - stay hydrated.
2. Don't overboard. Limit yourself to 1 or 2 drinks. You will thank yourself later.
3. Don't go hungry! You may eat a lot more unhealthy than anticipated if you arrive hungry.
4. Stay away from sugary cocktails. Opt for vodka with seltzer water instead.
5. Go vegetarian for the night! Typically vegetarian choices are healthier. Your options will be limited so you won't eat as much. 
6. Sip your drinks. Don't gulp!
