Weight Gain & Fat Unavoidable After 40?
As we get older our bodies change and so do our lifestyles. Metabolism slows and many of us have less active lifestyles and may experience muscle atrophy (the wasting or loss of muscle tissue) and weight gain. To avoid this we have to be conscious of what we are eating and if we are getting enough exercise. Read more for pointers on avoiding weight gain and fat.
1. You must keep your metabolism going. It is important to eat regular meals instead of skipping breakfast or lunch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are equally important and you should never skip a meal.
2. Stay active! If your lifestyle eliminates activity then you have to find ways to incorporate daily exercise.
3. Work with your schedule. Wake up a little earlier and walk the kids to school or wake up 15 minutes earlier and play Jade of Spades! You can also book a session with a private trainer or find a yoga studio that offers classes that fit your schedule. Find something that will fit into your busy life to stay active.
4. Educate yourself and your family on the importance of living healthy lives! Find tons of resources on Living Jade.
5. If you are not active and you don't eat right you will gain weight at any age. So as we get older our bodies change and it becomes more challenging but at the end of the day eating right and staying active is crucial.
