"For appetizers they passed around small hors d'oeuvres, instead of having the food sit on the table, which may cause people to over eat." said Jade. "My favorites were the scallops served on a tiny thin potato chop."
Jade really enjoyed the dessert. "They served tiny cake pops, they were delicious! It was a much better idea than serving large slices of cake, which enables people to consume more calories." (Cake pops are the new fad that you can find at most Starbucks locations)
With the many types of diets out there, such as vegetarians and vegans, it is good to consider serving food that everyone can enjoy. Jade was pleased that there were options for everyone.
"Dinner was grilled salmon with pesto sauce, grilled asparagus with shaved parmesan cheese, a red meat dish, quinoa, and an arugula and citrus salad."
Healthy food options can always be tasty! It just takes careful planning. Jade made a great point about what you plan to serve at your party.
"If you provide healthy choices and options then people will eat healthy if you provide unhealthy choices people will eat unhealthy so when I host a party I will do my best to please everyone with what they want but in a healthy fashion."
